2021 Studio Goals + A Rebrand!

After what can only be described as a “year unlike any other,” our team is very much looking forward to what’s ahead in 2021. Like everyone else, we’re holding out hope that life will return to some version of pre-pandemic normalcy, but in the meantime, we’re committed to making the absolute best of it. During this first week of January, we’ve taken some time to reflect on our studio’s biggest highlights over the past year, while also planning ahead to what’s next.

Today on the blog, I wanted to share some insight into what you can expect from our studio in the coming weeks and months. From new project reveals to more conscious sourcing practices, and perhaps our most exciting news of all... an upcoming rebrand! I have a feeling this year is going to be quite the wild ride, and we’re so happy to have you here with us.

The most significant 2021 endeavor for our studio is a new rebrand! The idea of a rebrand has been something that I’ve been thinking about for well over a year, and finally, the timing seemed just right. After our team grew and our design services expanded, it was increasingly clear that featuring my name in the limelight wasn’t what I wanted. The truth is, there are so many people that make the wheels spin behind-the-scenes at our studio. Ultimately, I wanted a brand name that made room for everyone who made the magic happen, and I couldn’t be more thrilled about this next phase of our business. Along with our new name, we will also be rolling out a new website sometime in the mid-year. Keep an eye out for the official launch news on our Instagram page coming soon.

Our work has been nationwide since day one, but last year, we took on projects in a whopping 13 different states! This year, we are greatly looking forward to new projects in many new states, too. Along with welcoming new work, our team will be wrapping up a few large projects that we can’t wait to share with you. We’re crossing our fingers that we can travel to photograph them soon!

As our studio grows, we are bringing on projects of larger and larger scale, and have really honed in on entire home renovations or new builds. Taking projects to completion is our sweet spot, and we’re excited to continue that work this year.

I have so many lofty goals for our design work, and sourcing more pieces from small makers is high up on the list. As I’ve shared before, sourcing from socially conscious, smaller vendors is a huge priority for our team, both personally and professionally. In 2021, I would love to expand our partnerships and discover so many more makers to contribute to our work.

Side note: if you haven’t already, be sure to have a look at our favorite small makers on Etsy in three categories: Lighting + Hardware, Decor + Accessories, and Rugs + Textiles. These posts were some of our highlights from last year, and we can’t wait to feature more talented makers here on the blog.

We’ve previously shared all about the furniture we sell with Faithful Roots, and we have another new collaboration in the works with a beloved vendor. We can’t spill the beans JUST yet, but we’ll tell you it involves furniture and some beautiful textiles we know you’re going to love.

So many of our goals for 2021 revolve around growing the quality of our business. Our work is inherently service-oriented, and I am formulating so many ideas to enhance our client experience and streamline our processes on the backend. As a team, I also have goals for integrating more balance into our lives, increasing our technical skills, and giving back to our community. These are some of the core values our business is built on, and I’m really looking forward to putting new plans into motion for the coming year.
