Our design philosophy centers on the use of natural materials, and we tend to take a lot of styling cues from the changing seasons. While you likely won’t find an abundance of pumpkins or gourds around our interiors, we do love creating seasonal moments in a more subdued way. Whether that’s using richly-toned textiles to tell a fresh color story or adding layers with an ultra-cozy rug, there are so many ways to embrace autumn in the details big and small.
To help get you started, we’ve rounded up our favorite pieces for fall in four key categories. We’ll cover textiles, rugs, furniture, and the finishing touches that bring it all together. To make life a bit easier, each piece is shoppable so that you can make all the fall updates from the comfort of your home.

We know fall is about creating those hygge vibes, and swapping around your textiles is the perfect low-commitment solution. Try trading in your linen for a velvet pillow cover or adding a chunky knit blanket to your sofa. Better yet, source those cozy textiles in a soft pop of color. Deep moss green, earthy terra cotta, and rich autumn spice are all high on our favorites list.
If you have yet to try a layered rug look, fall is the time to do it. Not only does it bring dimension to a space, but it also adds some extra cushion underfoot as you stroll around your home. Start with a large natural fiber rug and add in an additional layer as you see fit. We’re partial to vintage pieces like this Amber Interiors rug, but you could also use a wool rug for added texture.
Editing your home for fall usually involves smaller-scale styling pieces. But if you happen to be in the market for furniture, we recommend trying out some moody, autumnal upholstery tones like this Aegean blue swivel chair. Or, mix-and-match your wood tones with a set of sculptural dining chairs. While these pieces are inspired by fall, rest assured they’ll look incredible any time of year.

Now that we’ve touched on some investment items let’s have a look at the finishing touches that easily swap around with the seasons. Think of items like natural vases, leather coffee table trays, and even some textured lighting. These pieces all give a subtle nod to fall without feeling ‘themed’ in any sense of the word. If you’re looking for items to fill out your vases, we love using preserved florals or fresh greens foraged straight from the yard. It’s such a simple, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly way to get your home ready for the months ahead.
