Office Reveal: The JMI Studio

Now that you've met our lovely team members it's time to reveal our office space! This space has been a labor of love to transform but one might say we're the perfect fit for the job :). Our office is located in a wonderfully quirky and historic building in Minneapolis that is full of creatives and it's been the perfect place for us to settle in! We filled our office with pieces that we love and feel so lucky to work in such a wonderful space. We can't wait to show you around!

Before photos

The space was previously rented by a painter. We absolutely love the little splatters of paint and the age of the floors. It has a wonderful skylight, south facing windows, soaring ceilings, and character for days. If you're lucky you'll get a taste of the trains that roll by just outside of our window.

We adore that our office space is the launch-point for the creation of custom furniture line. We love having this console table (to be launched with Faithful Roots soon!) as it truly collects the important things like keys, masks and samples to be returned to our vendors.

For any space that needs to serve several functions, creating zones is essential. For our office, we created three distinct zones: the desk zone (positioned just perfectly by the window with standing desks!), the lounge space (for those creative times) and the collaborative space (for our Zoom calls and team meetings!). We also have tons of storage for all of our samples (although they seem to multiply overnight!) thanks to the perfect Scandi shelves.

In our space we chose to design custom cabinetry for our little 'kitchenette' space. We used a new to us technique of pigmenting the oak which we are totally in love with and can't wait to use in new projects. Our office space is full of inspiration, laughs, hard work and creativity. We hope you enjoyed the tour! Thanks for stopping by!
