10 Dining Table + Chair Pairings We Love

If you’ve been following along on Instagram this week, you’ve probably caught a glimpse into our time at High Point Market. As one of the biggest trade shows in the industry, we couldn’t be more thrilled to attend and have hit the ground running. So far, we’ve spent our time seeking out the very best furniture pieces, discovering new vendors, viewing products we love IRL, and meeting fellow designers across the country.

Our busy trip is just beginning to wind down, so we wanted to share some content inspired by our time here at #hpmkt. With furniture pieces at the top of our minds, we put together a follow-up to our 10 Bed + Nightstand Pairings post, this time focusing on dining room design. Curated with a warm, modern aesthetic, these are ten shoppable dining table and chair pairings we’d recommend any day of the week.

Offset Dining Table + Irving Dining Chair

Not only do we love the bold and daring design of this solid oak dining table, but the offset detailing adds an extra touch of character. Paired with the slim iron frame of the Irving dining chair, you have a perfect balance of proportions.

Knot Rustic Dining Table + Ruthie Dining Chair

If you’re looking for furniture to stand the test of time, this is the dining pair for you. While the farmhouse table features a decidedly straightforward design, it works alongside the sculptural silhouette of the oak Ruthie chairs.

Renner Dining Table + Delaney Chair

Contrast is the name of the game for this dining pair sourced from McGee & Co. and Shoppe Amber Interiors. The table’s bleached oak color tone plays well with the chair’s black frame for a look that’s anything but ordinary.

Dowel Oak Dining Table + Mila Dining Chair

We love Anthropolopie for their simple, Scandi-inspired furniture pieces, and this table is a great example. It could play well with nearly any dining chair, but we particularly love the eclectic vibe brought by the Mila chair’s metal frame and curved woven back.

Nahla Dining Table + Pala Chair

With clean lines in a black-washed oak, Crate & Barrel has deemed their Nahla dining table the epitome of bold minimalism, and we couldn’t agree more. Pair it with the light and airy aesthetic of the Pala chair for a distinctly balanced look.

Chrissy Dining Table + Mulholland Dining Chair

The sophisticated look of the Chrissy dining table makes it a furniture piece that’s certain to become an heirloom. We’ve paired it with a Mulholland dining chair featuring a black oak frame, hand-woven seat, and leather buckle detail.

Eamon Dining Table + Linea Chair

Nothing says clean and modern like a white concrete dining table. With plenty of space to seat an entire family, we recommend pairing it with comfortable, curved-back seating like the Linea chair for hours of dinner conversation ahead.

George Dining Table + 675 Chair

If there were ever a table that encompassed the design notion of California casual, it’s the George table by Shoppe Amber Interiors. The table is available in three great finish options and looks incredible alongside bold, mid-century seating.

Snaregade Table + Danson Chair

Dubbed a ‘modern classic,’ this slender black dining table by Design Within Reach is the ultimate in form and function. It can be ordered in rectangular, oval, and round size options and contrasts perfectly with the warm leather tones of the Danson dining chair.

Ora Table + Lemieux et Cie Pernelle Dining Chair

If you’re new to mix-and-match wood tones, consider this dining pair a solid starting point. You’ll play off the table’s black walnut tones with the chair’s oak frame for a look that’s complementary yet stays away from matchy-matchy.
