Calling Minneapolis home has given us a deep appreciation for all four seasons. Although we could probably forgo a few winter months, we do get an incredible fall experience, and we don't take that for granted. As designers, we draw so many cues directly from nature, and fall is an endless source of inspiration with its rich color palettes and vivid scenery.

We're marking this new season by sharing some fresh updates around the home in every main category. From vintage woven textiles to velvet upholstered furniture, we're following nature's lead and getting cozy for the crisp air and calm evenings. TEXTILES

If there's ever a time of year to consider updating your textiles, it's fall. We like to swap our cotton blankets for heavier knits and revisit throw pillow combinations on the beds and sofas. While there are no hard and fast rules for fall textiles, you can't go wrong incorporating color, pattern, and texture. FURNITURE

We all know how the holiday season tends to sneak up quickly this time of year. If you're expecting to host a crowd, now is the time to take stock of your seating arrangements and your guest bedroom to make sure things are ready to go. Maybe you've put off ordering that set of dining chairs, that guest bed, or you could use some additional seating in the living room. It's not too late to add a few furniture pieces if you act quickly and work with what's in stock.

RUGS AND ACCESSORIES

You don’t need much to transition your home from summer to fall, but sometimes it’s fun to shake things up. We’re always amazed how a patterned rug or a handful of small accessories can bring a fresh perspective. Consider styling some new pieces on your shelves or mantle, like a statement mirror, a handmade vessel, or some vintage art. And don’t forget to incorporate a fall-inspired scent to burn as the daylight hours lessen. We’re partial to this handcrafted collection in the “valley” scent for its notes of fresh evergreen and eucalyptus.

SERVEWARE

Along with furniture, fall can be a great time to stock up on serveware for all the holiday hosting duties ahead. These sleek red wine glasses are beautiful for both gatherings and everyday use, and this brass serving set would be a perfect addition to any special occasion dinner.
