Shop the Yond Cottage: Part I

We’re narrowing in on the finishes stage of the Yond Cottage! We’ve been patiently waiting with all of our selections and the time has finally come to shop the cottage! Many of you have asked over the last year for shoppable links for the items we specified - so you asked and we answered! While many of the items in the Yond Cottage are vintage or one of a kind, we pulled together readily available items for you to get the look.

Without further ado, let’s get into it!

Yond Cottage Bathroom

Design by Yond Interiors

The Yond Cottage is small but mighty so maximizing the footprint of the bathroom was of utmost importance. We created a palette of finishes that spoke to the landscape outside. The movement on the marble floors was the perfect match for the waves of Lake Superior and the rustic elements of the zellige tile paired so well with the imperfections of the natural world. All of plumbing finishes throughout the cottage are living, allowing patina and age to show.

Bedroom I

The Yond Cottage has 2 bedrooms, both with queen beds and each with their unique style. It’s not secret that we are in love with textured wall finishes (give us all the plaster, limewash and wallpaper!), so it was only natural that we had to use something to make the walls a little extra special.

Bedroom one will have limewashed walls in Sherwin Williams’ Curio Gray. A historic paint color that reads as a warm khaki. Limewashing the walls allows for an imperfect and cozy finish, laying the foundation for the rest of the finishes.

Bedroom II

A slight twist on bedroom 1, bedroom two will be bathed in wallpaper! Vintage furniture and textiles complete the design.
