Last-Minute Stocking Stuffer Ideas

The first half of December has managed to fly by in a blink, and suddenly we’re smack dab in the busiest time of the year. Here at the design studio, we’re working to dot every i and cross every t before 2020 comes to a close. But amidst all the end-of-year work hustle, we’re also looking forward to some extra holiday time spent with our families in the days ahead.

More often than not, this is the point in the month we all find ourselves scrambling to finalize those gift selections for everyone on our lists. In fact, we put together more gift guides than ever this year — For Her, For the Cook, For the Homebody + Hostess, and For the Kids, just to name a few. While most of us have already purchased (and maybe even wrapped!) those big-ticket items, stocking stuffers are something I often manage to leave until the last minute.

When it comes to stocking stuffers, I like to avoid items that fall into the knick-knack category. Instead, I look for beautiful, well-made pieces that serve a clear purpose. It’s a balance of choosing something that’s both special and practical, rather than adding extra clutter to the gifting chaos.

If you happen to be in the market for some last-minute shopping, I’m sharing a collection of stocking stuffer ideas to surprise all your favorite people. While we'll always advocate to shop locally when possible, we're highlighting gifts you can throw into your online cart, opt for upgraded shipping (if needed), and ensure they arrive just in time for the big day.
